Produced by Onyx Borysewicz in partnership with CKUT, Taking Space traces the evolution of Montreal’s queer music scenes amidst gentrification and disappearing venues. Through live footage and interviews, the film celebrates resilience and community within shifting urban landscapes. Contributing as a videographer, Stasia documented live performances and events across the city, capturing how music transforms spaces of precarity into places of belonging and joy. The project affirms CKUT’s role in preserving independent, queer creative history.
