The Egg Series is an eight-photo zine featuring pink and yellow imagery that reimagines the egg as a metaphor for womanhood and transformation. The work includes a short poem that reflects on identity, growth, and the weight of expectation. Each image connects the egg’s natural process of formation to the human experience of becoming, mirroring the cycles of menstruation and rebirth.

By comparing the egg to the female self, the series highlights the tension between biology and individuality. The recurring question, “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” becomes a meditation on beginnings, inheritance, and the cyclical rhythm of identity. The soft, rounded forms contrast with bold colour and texture, merging delicacy with strength. The Egg Series invites viewers to consider how creation, both literal and symbolic, defines the boundaries between self and body.
